Silence is a comfort
you can build.
Soundproofing of apartments, houses and offices with drywall systems
Neighbours behind the wall, street noise, footsteps from above — all of it is solved by a properly built construction. We design and install soundproofing wall linings, partitions and ceilings on Knauf systems: mass + framing + mineral wool, with no “miracle materials” or empty promises.
What a proper construction delivers
Every +10 dB feels twice as quiet. The difference between “I hear the neighbours talking” and “I hear nothing”.
What kind of noise we fight
Different noise travels differently — that's why there is no “universal material”. First we identify the problem type, then we choose the construction.
Airborne noise
Travels through air and walls: conversations, TV, music, a barking dog.
Solution: mass + airtightness + wool in the framing
Impact noise
Travels through the building structure: footsteps above, moving furniture, neighbours' renovation.
Solution: decoupled structures, ceiling on anti-vibration hangers
Low-frequency noise
Bass, elevator, boiler room, ventilation — the hardest one: it passes through light barriers.
Solution: double framing, added mass, special calculation
Insulation ≠ absorption
Two different tools — often confused, wasting money. A working solution usually combines both.
So sound doesn't pass through
Sound insulation
Blocks the path of sound between rooms: from the neighbours to you and from you to the neighbours. Works through mass, airtightness and decoupled structures — the framing never touches the wall directly.
For: walls towards neighbours, ceilings, bedrooms and kids' rooms, home cinemas.
So sound doesn't echo inside
Sound absorption
Removes echo and boominess inside a room: soft, porous materials “kill” sound reflections. The room stops ringing and speech becomes intelligible.
For: offices and meeting rooms, cafés and venues, studios, large living rooms.
Our solutions
All constructions are built on certified Knauf systems: metal framing, mineral wool, high-density boards. Figures and prices are indicative — exact ones follow the site survey.
Lining of an existing wall
The most common fix for “noisy neighbours behind the wall”. Independent framing, mineral wool, double board layer — without touching the old wall.
- Takes only 7–10 cm of space
- 1–2 days of installation per room
Soundproof partition wall
A new wall insulating as well as brickwork and better — at a fraction of the weight. Double cladding, wool, sealing of all joints.
- Better insulation than 12 cm brick
- For dividing apartments and offices
Soundproof ceiling
Against footsteps and noise from above: a suspended ceiling on anti-vibration hangers with wool. Plus built-in lighting and a perfectly flat surface.
- Anti-vibration hangers absorb impact noise
- Compatible with LED lighting
Room acoustics
Absorbing ceilings and panels against echo and boominess: meeting rooms, cafés, studios, home cinemas. We calculate reverberation time instead of guessing.
- Knauf Cleaneo perforated boards
- Design panels matched to the interior
Why “just glue on some foam” doesn't work
Sound finds the weak spot. One installation mistake — and an expensive construction leaks like an ordinary wall. Typical “sound bridges” we see on site:
- Sockets and junction boxes cut right through the insulating wall
- Framing screwed rigidly to the wall without a damping tape
- Unsealed gaps around the construction perimeter
- Chases and cable holes drilled after the insulation was installed
- “Acoustic” foam instead of insulation — it only helps against echo

Frequently asked questions
A wall lining — usually 7–10 cm. That's the price of silence: thinner means weaker. “2 cm thin membranes with the effect of a concrete wall” are marketing — physics doesn't work that way.
Not enough — impact noise travels through the building structure. The right solution is a soundproof ceiling on anti-vibration hangers, combined with wall linings if needed.
It depends on the construction and the state of the building. After the site visit we give an honest dB forecast — and tell you upfront if a solution won't make sense in your case.
Lining one wall — usually 1–2 days, a ceiling 2–3 days, including joint finishing. The exact timeline comes with the quote.
